Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions.
At the age of 35, he was inspired, after seeing an exhibition of original paintings by Fenwick Lansdowne, to try painting wildlife himself. Using watercolors, a medium with which he was familiar, he began doing vignette paintings of birds and mammals, Within four months he was selling originals through the Harrison Gallery in Vancouver. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors.
