Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. She graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where she met her husband Marc, who is also an artist. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Artist: Michele Meissner Subject: People Style: Mid-Century Modern Product Type: Gallery-Wrapped Canvas Art This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features a white mountain in the distance beyond a forest. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting. Always interested in art Michele has always been encouraged and supported by her family. Marc and Michele met the first day of school and realized they lived less than two miles from each other back home in Western New York. Michele entered a painting in the Kelloggs Stick-Up for Breakfast Contest back in the 1970s and to her surprise she was one of the first place finalists winning a brand new bike. Prominent Colors: White, Blue, Tan, Grey The art bug bit Michele at a very young age.
